About Us

Celebrating over 15 years of service to the community, Mine Run Chapter, NSDAR, was organized in 2006 in Rhoadesville, Virginia.
Named in the 1700s, Mine Run is based around a small but prominent water feature in eastern Orange County, Virginia. There were early explorations for gold and other minerals along its course. Many road orders during the American Revolutionary War era state “to the Mine Run Bridge.” Currently, there is a small village there.
